Yes, we routinely test our collagen for heavy metals and other contamination as part of our quality control. We carry out tests for heavy metals both internally and through a 3rd party lab. Neither our own control nor the 3rd party lab has found traces of heavy metals in our collagen.

Marine collagen has a number of advantages over collagen from pigs (pocine), cattle (bovine) and other sources. Due to its low molecular weight and high bioavailability, it is easier for the body to absorb compared to collagen from other animals. In fact, studies indicate that the body absorbs collagen from fish up to 1.5 times better than from cattle.
